Douche Bag

Some fuck called me a 'douche bag' when I was enjoying a drink in a bar in Brooklyn. He was seriously drunk.

As I had never been called a douche bag before by anyone, I laughed in his face and he moved on to annoy another group. He tried to touch someones face and this was the final straw. The group moved around him and started screaming aggressively in his face "Get the fuck out". Eventually, the barman removed him from the bar.

I then shared some small talk with the aggressive shouting group about how the drunken bloke had called me a douche bag. We laughed and drank. They were quite a nice group after all.

Chunk Snowball

One of my all time favourite Christmas games. Turn up the sound and try to smash the 'windaes' with your snowballs!

The music is so addictive!

Vintage Menswear

I hope that you all appreciated the rather tenuous quote relating to the 300th visitor to my blog!

On Saturday, I popped in to see a couple of my friends new venture - we love pumpkin - a vintage menswear emporium - http://vintage.welovepumpkin.com/ - the website is nearing completion and you can follow them on facebook and twitter - http://www.facebook.com/pages/welovepumpkin/182881712550?ref=ts

If you see something you like then get in touch via the social media or pop into the shop - through the back of Threadbare on Broughton Street - http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&source=hp&q=66a%20broughton%20street%20edinburgh&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl

They have some really cool stuff already and I really liked the tweed jackets that had been 'pimped' with some colourful silk details on lapels, pockets etc.

If you are looking to be a little or a lot different to the rest of your crew then check it out, I'm sure that you will find something that you like.

"It's been more than thirty years since the wolf and the winter cold. And now, as then, it is not fear that grips him, only restlessness. A heightened sense of things. The seaborn breeze, coolly, kissing the sweat at his chest and neck. Gulls cawing, complaining, even as they feast on the thousands of floating dead. The steady breathing of the 300 at his back, ready to die for him without a moment's pause. Every one of them ready, to die."

Engaged!

Hello everyone!

I proposed to Jennie at 5.42am on the morning of Friday 20th November 2009 and she accepted! Even though we were both really excited, we had to hot-foot it to Edinburgh Airport as we were flying to Newark and then on to Jacksonville.

At the airport we got stuck into the champagne and contacted family and friends who were all delighted for us also.

We had a great holiday and I have loads of stories, photos, websites and recommendations which will appear here once I have caught up with everything.
